This is the second generation of Ford Edge, the Ford’s flagship SUV in Europe. The car is based on Ford’s CD4 platform that also underpins the Lincoln MKX and various other Ford CD cars like Mondeo, S-MAX, and Galaxy. Ford Edge has front double-laminated side windows for all versions sold in Europe. A noise cancelation system (with speakers) further contributes to interior quietness. The car is easy to drive, despite its dimensions, and the ride quality is very good. The model shown here is equipped with the top of the line engine available in Europe, a 2.0-litre bi-turbo diesel engine, mated with a 6-speed double-clutch transmission (PowerShift).
